Since you started working on my websites my business has more than doubled and that’s in the middle of a recession! I will of course be calling you again and again for all my website and search engine optimization needs! Your quality of work and price make it impossible for me to even think about going anywhere else. Thanks Clare! Dan – All About Ants Pest Control

About Us

Since 2007 we have served over 200 clients in the Portland Metro Area. We get small business because we are one. We are local, real, and reasonably priced.

“I am a bargain hunter. I LOVE to get the best quality and the best price, and that can be tricky.  So that’s what I offer my clients.” –  Clare Bean, Owner

Behind the Business – My Why

Clare Bean, Owner Clarify DesignsIn 2006 I simultaneously graduated with a BFA in Visual Communications and gave birth to my first son. I was also single and living with my dad. Having a passion for design, well all things creative really, I was excited to combine what I love with my vocation. Then there was the mom side to me. Experiencing motherhood was cataclysmic. That tiny person changed my world. Priority #1 became being his mom. I knew I had to find a way to be a mom AND a designer, and that didn’t include a 40+ hour work week away from him. That being the case, I started slowly and with a shortage of confidence into the world of business ownership. My work was pretty rough; I was nervous and tenderfooted, and I often didn’t charge enough for my work, but I kept going. I was attending the school of life and learning as I went (which was much more than I learned in school). I was blessed enough to have a roof over my head that I wasn’t paying for so could keep building my business.

Networking, business card and referral passing, word-of-mouth, repeat clients, friends, family, and fellow marketing folks. I have all these to thank for helping me to get where I am today, over 10 years later. I’m strong. I’m seasoned. I get what I’m doing and I love it. I’m no longer pretending to be a designer, this is what I do.

What do I love most? I love small business. I love the creation of a business and watching it become. Much like a child is born and grows, I love helping to shape and guide businesses in all things web-related. I love to stay informed on the ever-changing technology and landscape of this field. And I love family. I want to help business owners to do what they really love while I take care of their website, logo, brand, search engine rankings, and help them get new business from the web. Business owners are different. We are a unique breed, we think differently. We get each other. We want freedom. We want to set our own schedule and we want to spend time with the people that matter most in our lives. We want to live our lives fully and we are willing to take risks in exchange for the massive satisfaction of freedom and creation. I love what I do and want to help others like me.
